“岩彩画”是站在当代艺术语境中，采用国际惯例“以材质归纳绘画种类”的分类方式，对于以天然岩石微粒进行绘画的语言方式的一种称谓。“岩彩画”根植于深厚的中国的传统绘画，具备当代时空中多向延展的可能。一方面是传承，有着一脉相承的内在的语言逻辑；一方面在生长，已经置身于全新的宽广的阐释空间。“岩彩画”是一个独特的完整的绘画语言体系。
“敦煌”作为世界文化遗产，壁画面积达4万多平方米，千年璀璨令世人仰慕。“当代岩彩学会”在保留敦煌原貌的同时再次创造，通过运用矿物质材料历久弥新的特点，精工打造使用天然画材，使画面具有厚重的视觉效果。在当下略显浮躁的社会环境中，他们怀揣一颗朝圣之心默默修行，用虔诚之心赋予画面灵性，寻求天人合一与物我两忘，用当下语境解构重组，使古老神秘的敦煌艺术文化再次刷新世界眼球。

DunhuangMogao Caves
Dunhuang is a county-level city in northwestern Gansu Province, Western China. It was a major stop on the ancient Silk Road and is best known for the nearby Mogao Caves. The Mogao Caves, also known as the Thousand Buddha Grottoes or Caves of the Thousand Buddhas which may also be known as the Dunhuang Caves. The caves contain some of the finest examples of Buddhist art spanning a period of 1,000 years. The first caves were dug out in 366 AD as places of Buddhist meditation and worship. The Mogao Caves are the best known of the Chinese Buddhist grottoes and, along with Longmen Grottoes and Yungang Grottoes, are one of the three famous ancient Buddhist sculptural sites of China.

The art of Dunhuang covers more than ten major genres, such as architecture, stucco sculpture, wall paintings, silk paintings, calligraphy, woodblock printing, embroidery, literature, music and dance, and popular entertainment.

Yan Cai Painting
Yan Cai is a kind of painting which is based on the colorful rock powder, toning into a pigment with the glial, then painting on the paper, cloth, board or metal. It has strong, durable, crystal and elegant features. Yan Cai painting has already five thousand years of history in China. From the Xinjiang Kizil Grottoes to the Dunhuang Caves on the Silk Road, from the Shanxi Yongle Palace to the Beijing Fahai Temple, there are murals painted with the mineral pigments. Although they have been through the millennia, they are still dazzling.

Xin Liu and the Institute of Contemporary Yan Cai Painting
Ms. Xin Liu was born in February 1967 in Daqing, Heilongjiang Province in China, graduated from Harbin Normal University in 1994, studied at the Central Academy of Arts & Design (Decorative Sculpture Department) in 1997, studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (Painting Department), graduated from the "Yan Cai" advanced research class set up by the Ministry of Culture of China in 1999, mainly engaged in the Authoring, teaching and research for modern "Yan Cai" painting.
Now Xin is the member of the Chinese Artists Association, the instructor of the Academy of Renmin University of China, holds the post of the Vice-President and the Secretary-General of the Daqing Artists Association, the President of the Institute of Contemporary Yan Cai Painting.

“Reconstruction – 2018 Dunhuang Art Works Exhibition”
“Reconstruction – 2018 Dunhuang Art Works International Exhibition” is an exhibition which was held by the Institute of Contemporary Yan Cai Painting. It will be exhibited in Italy and China in 2018. Recreating the original appearance of Dunhuang while maintaining its original appearance. Through a use of the time-honored features of the mineral materials, the team of Xin combined the contemporary painting ideas and the original appearance of the Dunhuang murals. By using the method of Yan Cai paintings, the Xin built and used natural painting materials to create a visually rich picture.

Now Xin Liu is the member of the Chinese Artists Association, the instructor of the Academy of Renmin University of China, holds the post of the Vice-President and the Secretary-General of the Daqing Artists Association, the President of the Institute of Contemporary Yan Cai Painting. Her works won awards in many large art exhibitions at the national level, have been collected by private, domestic and foreign institutions, published by a number of medias and journals.
